@secularsabbath presents @grayskiesforever’s The Living Soundscape which uses dozens cassettes, reel-to-reel, & synths to create a collage of nature sounds. intimate loft in the Arts District $50 7pm
The one I’m most excited about! @theworldstage is the most underrated space for AMAZING jazz music in LA; and has been since 1989. Saturday night they have @saulwilliams meets Carlos Nino & friends. If you aren’t hip to Saul; he is an amazing poet who’ve ive been a fan of since his piece Sha-Clack-Clack made its rounds on hip hop radio in the late 90s. & Carlos Nino IS the steward of Spiritual Jazz in LA. To see this performance at the World Stage will truly be electrifying. co-presented by @livingearth.la and @intlanthem. 8:30pm, $20.
@theneighborhoodorchestra tribute to Fela Kuti (whom is being rewarding the lifetime achievement award at the Grammys). Performing w/ Neighborhood Orchstratra is @duainrichmond (star of Fela on Broadway). Boyle Heights at @theparamountla 730pm $25
